Natural Wool Interlock Cover

Care Instructions

It is strongly recommended that you hand wash and hang to dry. If you choose to wash in your washing machine, use only cold water and the gentle cycle, do not dry in the dryer, hang dry only. Your guarantee is void if you machine wash in hot water or dry your wool cover in the dryer. Some wool fabric may bleed for a period of time until all excess dye washes out (I wash all wool 3 times on hot and dry it on hot, but inevitably, some fabric will still bleed). This should stop over time, but for the first several wearings and washings, use care to avoid staining other colored items.

It is recommended that you use a wool wash such as on WoolCare for your wool covers. You will also need to lanolize your cover periodically. You can do this by melting approximately a 1 inch line of lanolin in a cup of hot water, add to a gallon of cold water and then put your cover in. Alternatively, you can use liquid lanolin added to the cold water. Liquid lanolin does not need to be melted first. Add 1-2 teaspoons liquid lanolin to the same water you washed your cover in. The water should turn milky white, and your hand will feel tacky after you put it in the water if you have enough lanolin in it. Squeeze your cover several times to make sure the lanolin is distributed. Roll in a clean towel and squeeze out excess water and hang to dry.
