Pocket Inserts are designed to be used with pocket diapers like the Fuzzi Bunz or the Happy Heinys. Most inserts are made from hemp or microterry.
Hemp is a very absorbent natural material that holds wetness inside the fiber well. All Hemp fabric is imported but these inserts are sewn domestically to my knowledge.
Microterry is a man-made blend (usually 80% polyester, 20% polyamide a type of nylon for diapering products) that is very squishy and very quick to absorb, a factor which can be very important for babes who wet forcefully! It works by having fibers that are a bunch of microscopic straws(capillary action.) It absorbs wetness faster then hemp or cotton but wetness is more easily squeezed back out of the fabric. Most people do not recommend putting microterry next to babies skin due to it drying nature or scratchy texture but some babies tolerate it without problems I hear. To my knowledge all microterry and microterry inserts are made in China.

BabyKicks Joey Bunz Insert	Very absorbent hemp inserts, very trim, very popular, very reliable. Stiffer then microterry.
Cotton Babies One-sized Insert	Fast absorbing, one-sized insert at a very economical price. Made from very absorbent microterry. Microterry has a softer lighter texture then hemp, but not as natural a fabric.
Ducky Buns Boy/Girl Power Soaker Microfiber/Hemp Inserts	Contoured hemp insert with an extra flap of microterry just where your babe needs it for the best of both hemp and micro for a very trim but very absorbent insert.
Prefolds	Can be less expensive depending on whether you are using cotton or hemp, but usually much bulkier. Can be used without pocket!
Swaddlebees Inserts	Narrower then most inserts to fit just right in the trim cut Swaddlebees pockets. Available in hemp or microterry.
Thirsties Contour Microterry Insert	Fast absorbing (important with babes who flood when they wet), squishiest texture, less absorbent then hemp inserts of equal size(for babes who flood heavily use a microterry insert on top of a hemp insert for the best of both), nicely contoured.

BabyKicks Hemparoo® Joey Bunz

BabyKicks Hemparoo® Joey-Bunz- Pouch riders for your pocket diapers! These are six layers of absorbent hemp/cotton jersey that are only 1/8 of an inch thick, especially for use with Fuzzi Bunz. A unique combination of microfiber terry and organic cotton/hemp fleece provides you with the only insert you will ever need.
