At DiaperWare outstanding customer service and satisfaction is our goal. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about cloth diapering, reusable female products or any of DiaperWare's products. If you have questions, we can help you decide what is the best system for you and your baby! We have no adult diapering products! We reserve the right to refuse any order in our discretion.
We are an in stock store. We do our best to be sure this site reflects what is actually in stock. Although I have a new shopping cart with inventory control installed there may be a chance that it did not work correctly and someone just bought the item you ordered. If this happens I will contact you as soon as possible to find out how you would like me to handle your order. I do NOT just substitute prints or colors without your permission. Include a note with an order if you do not mind substitutions. Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns about your order!
If you do not receive an e-mail confirming your order within 48 hours please contact me! Thank you for supporting our family business.
Customer Rewards Program
I hate reward programs that require you to join something so my customer rewards program does not require joining anything! We love our customers and reward them with coupon codes with every order. When you have purchased more then $400 at DiaperWare you will be eligible for a10% off coupon. When you have purchased more the $800 you will be eligible for a 12.5% off coupon. Just send me an email and request your coupon code. Coupon codes are not transferable and I will not honor codes that you have gotten from anywhere other than from me. If you find an error on my site let me know and I will send you a coupon code for 5% off your order! Only one coupon code can be used per order.
Customer code rewards. If you want to participate in my customer code rewards program, just request your code and whenever a customer puts in a order with your code they will get 5% off their order and you will get 5% store credit.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, Paypal, and money orders! I no longer accept personal checks because I just got burned and lost lots of money on them again. I am too trusting and cannot afford this to happen to me again. We try to package all orders and get them to the Post Office within 2 business days (or UPS within 3-4 days). But because I am a work at home mama to three very active boys I cannot guarantee this. 98% of my orders go out within 1 business day of your order being placed, but occasionally a question about your order or illness in my family will cause a delay. If you need a package ASAP please send me an email letting me know you have an urgent order so I can get your package processed as quickly as possible.
Credit cards are processed at time of shipping. We do not store your credit card information for security reasons. We use a secure shopping cart to gather payment information.
Because mail order payments do not arrive so frequently (probably due to customers changing their minds) I cannot take mail order inventory out of stock until payment arrives. If you are ordering a one of a kind item that might be sold while your payment is in transit please contact me by email (inge at diaperware dot com) to let me know when you are going to mail the money order so I can hold your order for you.
To choose Layaway use coupon code layaway which discounts your order by 70% so that your first payment is 30%. Then you let me know what terms you would like for the remaining 70% and I will let you know if I can accept your terms. Order will ship when completely paid for. To avoid layaway abuse, store credit will be offered if you change your mind, not cash refunds.

confirming your order. We would never give such information away and
will not send you other marketing messages unless there is information
that you request!
Orders over $50.00 are shipped USPS Parcel Post or UPS for FREE within the 48 United States! I will pick the most cost effective method. Unfortunately I cannot ship for free to Alaska, Hawaii or APO addresses. For all orders you can choose First Class USPS (if less then 13 oz.), USPS Priority, or UPS Ground, as you see fit! My shopping cart will give you a choice calculated for your address based on the weight of your items. Click on the Check Shipping Options Button to see what your choices for shipping are. There are no added handling fees and in most cases the shopping cart under calculates the actual shipping fee! Unfortunately Priority Mail has gotten very expensive for heavy packages, so unless I raise my prices (which I do not want to do) I will have to send free shipping packages by USPS Parcel Post or UPS Ground. There is no free shipping on special request drop-ship orders.
I have no control over how long it takes the Post Office or UPS to deliver packages. While they do do an excellent job 90% of the time I have seen some delays on First Class or Parcel Post packages on occasion. Packages shipped to the West Coast from Pennsylvania, where I live, typically take a week or more for Parcel or Ground shipping. If you need a timely delivery it is safest to choose USPS Priority (usually 2-3 days but no guarantees on that!) or email me to see if I can ship Express if you need a guarantee that it will get there right away.
I have no control over how the USPS or UPS will handle your package. In most cases the packages are delivered in a timely and efficient manner. However, despite using computer generated from your input, bar coded labels, (the most accurate way I have found to create labels)occasionally the USPS or UPS will misdirect or otherwise mishandle a package. I take no responsibility for the delays this causes. I will not overnight a package to you to make up for their errors. I will reship lost packages by regular postal methods and do everything in my power to be sure you receive your goods as quickly as possible
I also have no control over where the Postal person or delivery guy leaves the package. They do an excellent job most of the time. However sometimes problems arise. If you live in an area where packages disappear or have a postal system that does not do a good job then Signature Confirmation added to your order helps to ensure that the package gets delivered to a person at your address (although my experience tells me that with delivery there is never any guarantees. There will always be a Postal worker somewhere who cannot accurately read a computer generated very legible label...). For only $1.00 you can get more assurance that you get your package. DiaperWare cannot take responsibility for loss of packages after delivery so if your package is likely to disappear after it is delivered then please add this to your order! DiaperWare cannot take responsibility for the Post Office not actually delivering the package to a place where you will actually find it. In some cases it appears that the USPS sees it fine to consider a package delivered if they leave it somewhere in your neighborhood, including in bushes, left in the postal truck for weeks or delivered to any apartment in your neighborhood according to the feedback I have gotten from customers! The only way to get the USPS to be responsible for knowing where they left the package (whether it was insured or not) is to add Signature Confirmation to every package. But to some customers needing to sign for your package can create problems so I am reluctant to mandate that every package have Signature Confirmation to make up for the inadequacies of a few postal workers. So please note that all packages I ship include Delivery Confirmation. If the Delivery Confirmation indicates that the Post Office thinks they delivered your package then I will not reship your order, you need to find out where they actually delivered your package. Please add Signature Confirmation to your order if you want assurances that they will actually deliver the package to a person at your address.
I currently ship by either USPS or UPS. Please note if your address does not accept both USPS and UPS deliveries if you pick Free Shipping. Please use your billing address that is on your credit card when paying by credit card in the billing portion of the shopping cart. If your billing address and shipping address are the same you do not need to retype the information. If a package is returned to me due to incorrect address, then you are responsible for paying to resend the package.
Orders are shipped without fancy tissue paper and packaging to keep costs down for you. We reuse all the packing that comes into our house in an effort to cut down on needless waste going to the landfill, so it is not uncommon to find your package packed in used boxes, tissue, paper, peanuts and anything else I think I could recycle usefully in shipping. Also since I acquire my boxes from an interesting variety of sources, I do not necessarily endorse or approve of the product the box was originally used to ship (although I draw the line and refuse to reuse disposable diaper boxes to ship my lovely cloth diapers in. Those boxes need to find someone else to reuse them.)
Please note also that although over 98% of my packages go out of my house within one business day of being ordered, occasionally there will be a slight unexpected delay when my children or I are sick and unable to function normally.
Unfortunately I no longer ship International Orders. Postal regulations are restrictive on my family (no dropping off packages at the post office dock, standing in line for drop off with my children is mandatory!) and there are lots of fine International Retailers of fine cloth diapering products in Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. It does not make ecological sense to be shipping small orders around the globe and customer service problems are prohibitively expensive to deal with. You can find listings of International retailers at: Happy Heinys, Kissaluvs, Bummis and other large diapering companies. If however there is a specific product at DiaperWare that your child needs that cannot be found elsewhere then drop me an email and I will see if I can help you! :-)
Local Pick Up
It is with great sadness I have to report that I have had to sell the building I had my store in. It just was not economically feasible to keep it anymore. I still have lots of diapers, lots of knowledge and experience helping customers and passion about cloth. But I have not place to meet customers anymore. Please give me a call and maybe we can find somewhere else to meet...
Please bear in mind that we are a small family business. All returns require pre-authorization. Merchandise must be unused/unwashed and in re sellable condition within 30 days of original invoice. I process returns once a week, usually Saturday. I am sorry but I am not able to provide returns on tamperable products due to health and safety concerns. Discounts given based on a percent of your returned items will be subtracted from refund amount. Package discounts that are no longer applicable because of your return will subtracted from the refund amount. If the return brings your purchase below the free shipping rate then the amount of the actual shipping fee on the original order will be subtracted from your refund amount. No refunds on any shipping charges will be given. A 10% restocking fee may be charged at our discretion. You are responsible for shipping fees on exchange items. You cannot use credit from exchanges toward free shipping. Special order items have a 20% restocking fee. Orders shipped free will have actual shipping charges subtracted from any return totals if the amount you return puts your original sale below the free shipping threshold. There will be a $25.00 returned check fee charged for returned checks. Refunds on orders paid by check will be held for 3 weeks.
Please examine your items when you receive them and let me know about any defects within 10 days of purchase. If you find a defect please let me know what it is so I can let you know how the item will be replaced or if the item is already washed, worn or used in any way, repaired when possible. Postage to send the diaper back to the maker will not be refunded or reimbursed by most diaper makers so please choose the most cost effective shipping method such as First Class shipping with delivery confirmation. Normal wear and tear of products is not considered defective, this includes repelling fleece or leaking diapers which is usually caused by fit or laundering problems, not a flaw in the product. Size charts are not a guarantee that an item will fit your child. Every baby is different and no size chart can realistically be made that will guarantee to fit all children. If a product does not fit does not make that item defective. If the item is in new unused condition the item can be handled in accordance with our very reasonable normal return policy. Most diaper makers have extended snap guarantees and limited sewing defect guarantees. Holes, worn elastic and other issues usually caused by normal wear and tear or harsh laundering routines (like use of bleach or oxygen bleach) are not considered defects. Washed or Used Items/DiaperWare Resale Program!
We do buy gently used merchandise to sell on our Specials/Clearance/Used Page. We will buy excellent quality diapers for approximately1/3 purchase price. But usually I recommend you cut out the middleman (me) and sell your stuff yourself. Good quality cloth diapering items like DiaperWare has usually can sell for 70-80% of the purchase price on various boards, lists or auction places if you sell directly to the customer yourself. If you decide you want to sell them to me anyway I would be happy to help you out.
There are lots more places too. I have not sold diapers at these places, specifically endorse them or even shopped there, they are just places I have heard about. Please let me know if you think I should remove one of these listings or if you have any other suggested favorite trading spots so I can add them to this list!
